Finally got another truck

Well, it's been about two years since I sold my old sonoma. I picked up a 1984 GMC S-15. It's a 2.8l, auto, 2wd. It has 99,000 miles on it. I have a lot of plans for it. I am in no hurry to get started though. I rushed around with the old truck, got pissed, and sold it. So this time around I plan on taking my time and thinking things through first. On with the pics.

It came with the "Starcraft" package. It had side skirts, wood trim and red velvet.

Re: Finally got another truck

Wow, the early 80's hit that thing hard. Leftovers from the late-70's van craze? I'm kinda diggin' the ancient radar detector. Part of me thinks you should totally restore the interior back to it's 1984 "pimped-out-ness", but another part of me thinks I should probably be shot for even thinking about that in the first place

Re: Finally got another truck

I think you should leave the wood in the interior, you don't see that shit in other S10's at all. There may be a reason for that, but still.

Re: Finally got another truck

i still have everything if anyone wants it. the interior looked a lot worse in person. plus, the wood doesn't look right without the velvet.

Re: Finally got another truck

well i bought another truck. it's an 89 s10 2.5l 5spd. it has 126,xxx miles on it. the body is a little ruff. the people i got it from were the original owners. they even had all the maintenance records. it runs great. doesn't even use oil. here are some pics.

Why did everything in the 80s and early 90s have red interiors
