Dad's 52 ford hot rod

As the title says, its a 1952 ford that has a 5 inch chop top, 5 inches taken out of the bed and fenders with a 3 inch bd. The motor is a 289 that has been stroked to a 389 and is running dual 4 barrel carbs... its a monster. My dad helped the guy build the truck years ago, and ended up getting it for a steal at 10k. It is going to need a new paint job as the painter and body guy didnt get all the rust out in a few spots... personally i think the flames are gay but its all good. They have lots of flake and change colors but i still think they are a bit homo.

Anyways enjoy!

Those flames look like ass, if they were done better, it wouldn't be that bad. And whats with the spoiler? Too much diamond plate also.

Other than that, it looks awesome.

The body was dropped 3 inches over the frame.... i though sectioning was when you took a section out of the body.... so i would think it has a 5 inch section (out of the roof and fenders as well as the bed) but im no master fabricator or car builder.

Tool box is for storing things while it is being driven. It does look a bit out of place though.

Re: Dad's 52 ford hot rod

Minus the awkward flames and all of the diamond plate and i'd rock it. Nice truck overall though. Kudos on keeping a ford in a ford.

the truck clearly has a section and a roof chop. channelling is the original term for body drop.

The tool box goes with the truck, it works, but that wing does not.

Re: Dad's 52 ford hot rod

not feelin that truck much...
too much diamond plate, the planks in the bed are horizontal instead of vertical, body looks unproportioned, flames look like poo.... to each his own tho
