Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Dude, where the **** you @ in the Mo. I know the p.o.s. ranger you talkin about. we call the guy Indian Joe. dont know his real name but he's an ass bag. he never enters the right class. his trucks up on 20's and it's 4x4. he waits to see which class he can enter with the fewest competitors. If you ever at a show and see a white blazer aired out that seys drag-on kustoms on the back pop on over. The whole drag-on crew knows me and all are welcome with us.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Holy accesories! That ranger sux. Dont feel bad man, when I was in GA for 2 months, summit racing had a show every monday. I always entered cuz it was free ,and there were always a few hacked up minis. The theme one night was under construction. Mine is so i thought i would do good. Att he end of the night when they were giving awards away they said" man its a close one between some PA dude(me) and this other guy for 3rd place... the award goes to the fag with the gremlin!!" I was like F##K my life i just lost to a gremlin that some dude had been working on for 20 years. Really hes been working on it for 20 years. And it sucke realy bad.

Thanks and to polaris, I didnt place at all and my buddy took 3rd on a static drop and wheels, some lifted ford took 2nd but it was pretty nice too. In the modified truck class you think the most modified truck would win who knows

Dude thats a sweet looking truck. I love the Zu clone thing going on. The addition of the bowtie makes it look like a Latin American Chevy LUV. Which were built by Isuzu and re-labeled.
I love it.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

yeah we got it cut down and new plates to the floor welded on, but theres no stud left to put the nut on, it sucks. Might end up have to pull another on, and call this one a learning experience haha. You got any pics of yours dimeon15s?

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

I only got like 1 1/2 inches of drop by cutting the brackets and i trimmed the middle of the seat frame out to fit the floor. I wanted to some how make a new frame for it or something to make the damn thing lay on the floor so it will be lower, prolly what you want to to due to the BD right?

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

yeah we cut the front and back mounts off, and I had to trim the back of the seat to it was hittin my switchbox wires. So it was pretty low just no stud left to bolt to.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

I would just take a bolt cut the head off and weld it to your floor for new studs. Thats what im gonna do if I decide to use the Malabu seats because when I put the bench in I ground the old studs off so it would look cleaner. But when I attatched my bench i drilled holes in the floor and ran a bolt thru. I guess its not the best idea but I havent had any leaking probs or anything.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

They shouldnt really sit any differnt since its all the same frame and comtrol arms, unless theres a big differnce in the openin of the hombre fender. The wheels as answered in a few other places i'm not sure of. They were just in my grandpas basement, I asked him and he had got them off of a trailor at some point in time. Their just some old steel wheels used on alot of cars back in the day with some 10 1/8" baby moons from ebay.

UPDATE:I finally got to bring the truck into the shop at school. Took the diff cover off and sure enough theres a 2.2 rear axel in there. I'm ordering the stock 3.08's that should have been in there on monday and puttin them in this week hopfully. Then once I get that in we'll see if new axel bearings help with any of the driveline vibrations. If not then i'll be tearin into the transmission.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Yeah its been awhile since I've been on the forum, been lookin for a new daily. Forget how much of a pain in the ass car shopping is, as least for stock ones. All I can really do today is put the drive shaft back in since I finally got the seal, then tomorrow put it back up on the 2 post lift and take the axels out. Hopfully the ring and pinion will be in then.
