Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Hey just picked this up a few weekends ago from AJGs10, and before him it was mtechs10. Its a 99 S-10 ZQ8, with all hombre sheetmetal and the bed flairs. Got a 3" BD and everythings shaved.

Yeah they suck, I know their pretty much useless after you shave them on the pass side, but you cant even see out of the drive one. I'm look for some other motor cycle ones now that adjust and arnt soild arms.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Its pretty much stock interior. I moved the guages to the HVAC control spot since their usless, and threw in some cavy seats I had in the garage, and some old sony speakers that were layin around.

Gotta get a tilt column soon, I put in the cavy seats tryin to get some more room, but non tilt and a 3 inch BD are not good together

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Yeah I had to trim a few pieces a little differnt and the pass side kick panel was gone, but I got it and trimmed to fit. The driver side door panel map pocket thing was cut tho to let the door close, cause of the straight filler plates.

ya that was the only thing i noticed that would tell you its been bodydropped, from just lookin at interior pics you would never know, which isnt always the case for bodydropped trucks haha

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

damn this truck is sick. i kept seeing it in your avatar today and i was hoping there was a thread for it. HRF always look sick. i want to see it in person at least once before i decide to do my truck in it. i'm planning on a graphite and black two tone with some color pinstripe to separate it. maybe even get my 20's powder coated gloss black.

sucks you don't have poppers. i recommend the bolt in AVS ones. i got those and have had ZERO problems.

oh yeah man i was so happy when i saw those. i don't like this cheapo crap i got now even though it gets the doors open. plus 4 buttons is perfect for two doors and remote fill/dump. i have their arc-9 box that has the remote inputs so it would be perfect. plus the remotes just look sick.

so how long has the truck been painted with the HRF? does it hold up good? seems like all you would have to do it wash it and keep it clean. you don't wax it do you, since it's a flat finish.

Well i'm not sure how long its been painted a few years at max.
Theres some chips here and there on it that I need to touch up. Theres no waxing and stuff which is awesome. Right before I took those pics I walked around with a squirt bottle of water and a towel and just wiped some dirth and dust off.

Yeah that part kinda sucks and some gas got on that tank I Think cause its stained with something. The bed was deisgned by mtechs10 and he sold it with no air managment, then ajgs10 bought it and added air man and a few other things. So the gas door doesnt open all the way likc its sopposed to be i gets the job done.

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

haha, hurry up and order those AVS popper and their new remote. the pre wired relays make it very painless to do and allows you to pop the door even if the battery dies. i had to use it once cause i took my battery out to do the big 3. well i closed to the hood to go to the store to get some things, came back and couldn't pop the door to get in and open the hood . needless to say i was still able to get in even without a battery .

Re: Bodydropped 99 s-10/hombre

Yeah I think thats the orignal owner when it was still a ZQ8, its been on awhile so I figure it was kinda cool and let it, along with the parkin tickets in the glove box. Then it was in tenn and iowa. I went and asked some guys last week about no cat or audible horn and they said legally no, but it shouldnt be a problem, i'm sure theres some more they'll see tomorrow. The next problem is insurance haha

Oh didnt know that, it started to come off with some mothers, but I gave up. Yeah yesterday is the first time I got to drive it, that power steerinng pump shot on the way home and I replaced it then that one shot. Had to replace the steering box and pump again cause the box was packed with metal shavings. Now just gotta fix the tranny and it should be good to go.
