Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

that should be more like a 16.2 @84 or 85mph. What were your 60' marks? My truck ran a 16.0 stock aside from a muffler and cone, that was in 95 degree weather and humidity on 2.38 best 60'

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

I don't remember the 60' time (don't have the slip in front of me) Nothing impressive though. I've got good tires, but the open diff 3.08 doesn't help much...

Quite impressive, I see now I gotta look out for a few automatics w / Good exhaust systems.
I gotta get one for my truck. I guess it really does help out a bit. I think I can see low 15's after exhaust and a pcm reprogram ....... .And shorter tires of course.
If I can get there I''ll post the slips and then stop racing Blu. Time to get the NeoN into the 14's at least.

I have been to Capital Raceway before. Crappy track but still a place to race. They don't prep that place at all.

I have always gotten good traction there. 75/80 I heard was garbage though. I'm going to MIR to run though I heard their track is nice!

They have since resurfaced the track. The day I was there they made it known, many times over the track broadcast, when they were preping the track... well at least when they were spraying VHT.
Still not the type of prep U see at MIRw/ all the trucks, tracors, and Jet dryers. But better than the street.

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

Havent been on here in a while...

I ran in October at Lapeer Raceway in Michigan. My mods are in my signature. Reaction was bad, 1.106 but it was my first race at a dragstrip. 60 ft was 2.307. 1/8 was 10.242. and 1/4 mile was 15.971 @ 85.09mph. The wind was strong and directly head on though, so i feel as if i could have been a tad faster... maybe

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

I got a new best a few months ago.

14.37 @ 92.25 with a 1.97 60'. I owe that leap in my time to the M&H muscle car drag tires. I got half a second better with these tires.

Turbo and 12s coming soon!

Times in the sig. No runs yet on the new engine.

Hotrod with that time had new rotating assembly, holley TBI, holley intake, cam, pro-mag rockers, stock heads, and JBA headers, 3.73s & a Zex.

Daily is 100% stock, 3.08 open rear. Both have a 4.3L w/ 700R4

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

Only running 14.5@98 mph...his 60 ft would have to be like 2.4. I ran 14.1@98 with a 2.1 60 ft.

My biggest problem was a mostly stock TBI truck running that quick of a trap speed. Like bumping a 160 hp TBI motor, to like 275-300 hp with a few bolt ons.

I wasnt even thinking about the mph, just the ET alone with maybe 200hp would need a better than average 60ft.

EDIT: but I do agree with what youre saying ZZ4.

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

The sad part is, that run is on drag radials. I just dont' have enough time on them. Just punching it off idle, it hooks, but won't pull under 2.0 60 ft. Over 1500 rpm, and under 2000 rpm, it'll hook, and bog....still over 2.0 60 ft. Next run, I did a nasty burn out, dropped the clutch at 2500, and it burned the tires off sideways through 1st and 2nd.

I've got my caltracs this year, finally found a short throw shifter for my 6 speed, and hopefully will have my nitrous finally ready to go. But, I've been changing so much over the winter, it won't look like the same vehicle.

I know my ET wont' ever be great, if my mph's there, that'' make me happy, cause I know Im making the power. My trucks certainly not a drag truck.

IF I wanted that, I'd have a standard cab, 350/350 w/tranny brake, 3.42's, and a T76 w/alcohol injection and bout 20 lbs of boost.

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

I should be able to put up some new,and much better times soon.Cracked my stock 400 block.New combo has a Motown block, upped the compression to 13.5,ported out the AFR 220 heads,Comp Cams will be making a custom grind, and added a Pro Shot fogger.I should be picking up between 100 and 150 HP on the motor alone.I'm putting the short block together this weekend, heads will be done next week.

Nice, almost a 14 with a 2.4 60', you should be at maybe a mid 14 if you can get the truck to hook up.
