Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

Lately browsing not just this forum, but others...it seems that everybody has a wide range of 1/4 times, some seem outrageous with the mods that they had....and some are blatent pure lies.

So I ask for you to post your 2.2, 4.3, V8, any s-truck non lie, non myth times, feel free to link to slips or videos, but dont waste our time by posting what your camaro or whatever else you have runs, or posting your mind altered, or altitude corrected time.

When I had my CPI 4x4 with K&N (2dr blazer), and Flowmaster I ran a best of 16.955@79
No Times with the LT1 yet.

Heres an accumulative spreadsheet of all the members that posted in this thread:

S-series.org had a nice chart going at one point, it really just involves one person making a huge post and then updating it every once in a while when new entries are added.

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

I have been hearing some good times out of these 03 zq8s. I hope mine will respond good to the mods I have planned for it.

The differences have a lot to do with the places, conditions, same mods done differently and/or using different aftermarket products, etc. . .thats my best guess anyways.

EGR mod, the egr fitting that stops i believe 75% of gasses to go back in, hense restrictor meaning a little more power and eliminates almost all hesitation. TB mod, on the throttle body there is a flap/restrictor plate, shave it off for more air and a little more power and better response at wot, there are many threads on it, i have had both for almost a year so dont listen to the people who say they are bad to do, im sure 99% of people will agree

Yeah I was keeping it to s series except the main point to my post was to answer his question about what a CAI is. So I figured i'd throw my time in there as well. Also this thread is only about the 50th post your 1/4mile time thread. A simple search will yeild the answers your looking for about 3 times over

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!

I ran 16.4 at 82 in Calgary Alberta Canada at about 4500 feet above sea level with all the mods listed below except the AEM intake, The roller rockers and the nitrous...I have g-tech recently at 15.1 at 96 on my winter tires with the nitrous...which obviously is a little off and I have 3.73 gears to go in so I am looking to do mid 14's on the nitrous!!! Gonna be a good year. In 2002 I ran 17.7 at 77 with a ractive intake and a muffler.

I would shave that throttle body lip, do the egr mod, either get a new y-pipe or make a custom one by cutting out the crunch and replacing it with a straight pipe. If you do the straight pipe, it will only be like $5-10 with clamps and such, the TB mod is FREE, the egr you can get for like $25, also cut the pre-cat off and put in a straight pipe so another $5-10. Basically those are freeing up a lot of exhaust/gasses and flow, should help out some

my truck ran a 16.1 @ 83 mph completely stock. even mod ive done to the engine has seemed to work very well on my engine. i can also get consistant 2.1 60' times so that really helps out my 1/4 time.

I would kill for a 2.1 60', I can't even pull consistent 2.4's and my trap speed is higher than yours, no traction sucks.
