Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
Don't anyone get to upset now.....no 1/4 near here. Ran an 1/8 with this LT1 Vett swap for a first time test run. No traction to speak of. 9.60's, 74/75 mph with a 3.08 locker rear.
Will be working on improving the traction for next years fun. Fixed an engine problem and it runs more like I thought it would. Can't wait to see how much better it runs in the 1/8 and 1/4. |

funny how they pick on a slower truck but as soon as there is someone that runs about the same time they dont want to even race at the track. as you can see in this thread. http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/sho...489#post544489 |

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
Man I wish I could've got back to the track before I totalled my Blazer. (With the 4.1 or was tha 4.11) I would've made it into the low to mid 15's for sure. I had modest mods, so I was happy to see a 15.99 1/4 in a loaded Blazer 5 speed. I wonder. Is the spreadsheet thing still being maintained?

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
My best E.T. run was:
R/T: .428 60: 2.470 330: 6.352 1/8th: 9.475 MPH: 79.73 1000: 12.128 1/4: 14.383 MPH: 99.66 My best mph was: R/T: .499 60: 2.505 330: 6.409 1/8: 9.538 MPH: 79.17 1000: 12.193 1/4: 14.435 MPH: 100.36 That was with no traction, i was spinning through the 330 and got sideways off of my 1-2 shift. Those times are in my 92 S10 with a 305/700r4 combo. This 305 only has about 20k mi. on it total. Mods at the time of these runs were: -Built 700r4 w/shift-kit and 2800rpm stall (like the stall did me any good that day) -B&M slap-shift -LT1 cam 202/207 0.450/0.460 lift -P&P heads -rebuilt top-end, new valves ect. -hedman shorty headers -Dual 2.75in exhaust, dumps under just before the rearend -dropped with nitro-drop shocks and coils -crappy tune -bald tires -2860lbs w/full tank -running on 93oct pump gas Next time i go to the strip late this season, ill be running NT555r DR's and have it tuned better. Im hoping for a 13.9 |

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
60': 2.507 (spun hard)
330: 6.960 1/8: 10.702 mph: 65.45 1000: 13.981 1/4: 16.774 mph: 80.51 1993 s10, 4.3, auto, reg cab, 2wd, short bed. flowsound cat back, 180 degree thermostat, timing bumped to 6 degree's, the lip around the ports of the throttle body removed, small injector pod spacer. The mods above took 3 tenths of my 1/4 mile times and raise the mph up 2 mph over stock. I think I could of ran a 16.5 or so with better traction. I still need to finish the "ultimate tbi mods", switch to an e.fan, adjust the fuel pressure, do a bit of weight reduction, and lower my tire pressure. I should be in the HIGH 15's before the end of the season, then its v8 time! |

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
lol why is there a Toyota owner posting in this? Is he lost? This is s10forum.com, Chevrolet S-10 forum, not Toyotas.
I haven't run the 1/4 but my best 1/8th time is a 8.9@79mph, 2.1 60ft on stock Xtreme's Goodyear allseason tires, at Old Dominion Speedway last September. Same mods as in signature. I'll post the full details if I can find the timeslip. |

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
The car club I am in went to test and tune night a few weeks ago. I went a best of 16.30 @ 84 mph. I have no computer tune up yet just a cold air intake, roll pan and tb mod. Next spring after a few more bolt ons and some weight reduction I would like to go up there again. I sure would like to see a 15.70. My truck tipped the scales at 3620 with me in it and 3/4 tank of gas. I could loose weight and so could the truck.

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
I haven't seen an N/A 4.3L hit 13's without a lot of motor work. The other option is to drop a v8 into it, and get that running strong. |

Re: Post Your 1/4 Times Here!
Just need to get yourself a good EMS, either a piggyback or stand alone. Get yourself a good solid tune, and you'll be on your way. |
