Wiring Amp ?'s

Well i have been putting it off for a while now, but decided that i wanted to hook up my amp my to speakers, but i don't know what all i will need to hook it up to my speakers/battery/head unit. i know the basics of gonna need 4ga wire for (+) and (-) on my amp, i'm prolly gonna ground under the seat. but i guess i really just need a list of what all wires and what not i will need to hook up my 4ch amp to my speakers.

Specs: 6 1/2 components in dash, 6x9's in doors, pioneer deh6900ub(i think thats the number) headunit, all still stock wiring, plan on doing big 3 here soon enough too.

Questions:
1. what are all the wires/connectors i need?
2. how much wire will i need(standard cab) doors and dash speakers.
3. i have 6 1/2 components in the dash and the tweeter works, but i don't get any bass, could it be the wires(+/-) crossed over or gonna need new components?

thank you guys for any kind of help!

Re: Wiring Amp ?'s

1. you need 14 gauge or larger speaker wire. try not to get the cheap stuff (you'll pay for it in the future with a poor quality signal). you also need 2 sets of RCA's for your 4ch amp if you want to control the 4x6 and the 6.5's separate of each other or just one set if you don't care to control the together. again, don't go cheap. obviously, you need power wire, which you already know. don't forget a fuse and fuse block and the appropriate ring terminals for your battery (and battery post extenders if you need them). and 18 gauge remote wire.

2. i don't have a std. cab, but if you put your amp on the back wall, i would estimate that 50' of speaker wire would more than suffice wiring 4 speakers. i think 14' is the average length people get for their RCA's in a std. cab. get the same amount of 18 gauge wire as your RCAs because they'll be going from the same place to the same place...

3. how did you get 6.5" components in the dash? what settings do you have on on your head unit? that could be why you don't have much bass.
