wireing help
i just got 2 i think 6 in door speakers, 2 cross overs, and 2 tweeds. now i have basicly no idea what to do with them. the truck i have was gutted when i bought it cause they kept there system. so i have NO wires at all to anywhere. im not running an amp or any woofers at the moment. i just seriously need music its driveing me nuts. just curious what the basic idea of a crossover is and what the correct way would be to wire everything i have up. thanks in advance.

Re: wireing help
Did this equipment come as a component set, or is it a mix of different parts?

Re: wireing help
If its going in the S-10 in your avatar and you have a new deck in it, dont have much experience, and dont wanna cut much, Id run new wires from the radio down to the underdash panel above each kick panel to the crossover. Then run the woofer out to the door through the rubber boot to the midrange and the tweeter out to the factory 4x6 location. Bend a back strap to make a bracket to mount the tweeter to and also phase invert the tweeter while your there (reverse the + and -) to raise your imagining. The best thing to do would be to keep the tweeter as close to the midrange as possible, but that means cutting a big hole in the door and some aiming.
