Re: where should i mount my fuse holder?

well for one move the power wire to the battery and off the 10ga diss block it's on now because if i remember it is on a 30 amp fuse link and you will toast it and then just mount it any were it will not get hot or rub on any thing

Re: where should i mount my fuse holder?

gona be doing the big 3 soon.. and was thinking of replacing that "power supply box" with a distro block and run my 4 gauge wire to it then a 0 gauge to my battery and then still have spots for the big 3..

what i was talking about is it looked like he was runing his main power wire to his amp out of the dist block that is feed by a 10 ga wire and what i think is a 30 amp fuselink feeding that

he needs to up grade the wire going to the dist block if he is going to go that way like you have or just go to the battery

you can leave it to the block or hook it to the batt either way your still making the connection...remeber to get enough 0 to do the whole set up,..meaning your big 3 and you might aswell run 0 directly to your amp or another dist block in the cab then 4g to your amps and what not...

Re: where should i mount my fuse holder?

ok so i just got a rebuilt motor put in and i think they grounded it at a different spot than original i use to have about 3/4 my battery gauge now its not even half... there are 2 wires comin from the one goes to my starter and other to my alternator then there is a ground little one goes to my headlight i think and then the bigger ground is bolted to my block. there is a whinning noise when its idle and when i rev it u hear it get faster didnt have that before my friend said sounded like my alternator.. what are the correct grounds and postives stock?

You can listen to this guy if you want , but the battery is going to be a HELL of ALOT better power source , then trying to rob the power from that little 10 guage wire. SURE its fine for HIM , he has 1/0 running from the batt to the distro block ..

I would suggeat MOVING IT to the battery .

An like seriously if your going to take someone's advice who says this

Be my guest , There is a REASON his fuses are blowing .. an I'am going to leave it at that .

Do whatever you wish .

Re: where should i mount my fuse holder?

Sounds like you have a ground loop. I would try fixing that main ground wire to begin with.. that COULD solve your problem.
