Viper 791xv 2-way Remote Start Car Alarm
I'm getting ready to purchase one of these and I would like to know what bypass module I will need for remote start. I have a 2001 Chevrolet s10 Blazer power locks and windows no keyless entry. Any recommendations of places to buy the bypass module from as well as average pricing.
Thanks. |

I think a couple of them will work actually. I used the Directed Electonics 55U and the XK01 or XK06 for mine. I know that they make a module that will do both now adays for passlock and doorlock overide.

Re: Viper 791xv 2-way Remote Start Car Alarm
I prefer these, they are the easiest to use for a gm with no doorlock data bus.
3 wires (12v constant, ground, and ignition 2) and 1 wire to the purple at the obd2 connector. As for your locks and all else you will need to find the wires in the truck. PS just to let you know that when you post jcwhitney links it just brings you to their homepage. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_... UMDQodXSXeOw |

Re: Viper 791xv 2-way Remote Start Car Alarm
No bypass will do the locks in that vehicle. So you can spend the extra money and get one that is capable of doing it with a firmware update into another vehicle but its a waste of money.
you will just have to hardwire them from the alarm output to the vehicles wires. |

Re: Viper 791xv 2-way Remote Start Car Alarm
xpreskit dlpkgm will do door locks
http://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?productid=125 but xk06 will work too but not as sophisticated haha http://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?productid=356 there is a description of both to help you choose. DLPKGM will more then likely need professional installation with a shop that has the appropriate module to flash the right firmware. just something to think about |

Re: Viper 791xv 2-way Remote Start Car Alarm
I think I was just confused, the bypass module is only needed for remote start correct? I don't know why I mentioned power locks and what not, probably get that cheap one posted earlier.
