Viper 5002 Questions

Ive had my viper alarm for a while now, and last night i went to run a couple wires through the big grommet on the driver side firewall. i poked a screw driver through it with the wires taped to it, and my friend fed em out, and didn't nick any wires that he saw. and my dome light switch thing has been acting up as well, and i armed the truck, and it chirped, but it sounded like it wasn't getting full power or something cause it was like a half ass chirp like it was dieing. so i went to disarm it and the remote vibrated, but my led on my dash was still flashing like it was armed and my doors didn't unlock. so i reached inside and unlocked it, then opened the door and the alarm went off, so i unarmed it. then it was fine after that. now when i go to arm it, the truck doesn't chirp. that's what Ive been wanting it to do, but i didn't program anything for it to not make noise, so what gives?

I was going to say check the ground before I even read your 2nd post. A bad ground can make the siren act funky.

Re: Viper 5002 Questions

you beat me to the ground. We used to hook up everything but the alarm ground and listen to how it tries to pull power through the siren. It sounds like the old game Pole Position coming out the siren
