Re: started installing wires and...

what year?

if 94-up,
you can go through the antenna grommet located on the pass side firewall near the bottom. just pull up the carpet on the pass side and look for it.

Yeah, already done, went through the antenna hole. He prolly went under the truck to come up directly where he needed to be so the wires would be completely hid! Understandable, I wouldn't do it but it is understandable for the application.

Re: started installing wires and...

it makes for a clean install if you do it that way but you have to make sure its not anywhere that it is going to catch road debry and make sure you make the hole a lil large and put something between the wire and the body.

Not really, I took out the plastic step (dont know what its called) but its the thing that goes along the footing in the doorframe where the end of the carpet meets the edge, anyway, took that out and cut s few tiny plastic pieces and I was able to hide my rca, power and remote wires all in therel.\

Re: started installing wires and...

anywhere know of a store that would carry gromets that big? I dont think autozone etc would have them that big but not really sure. I really want to go through the floor but obvioulsy dont want the wire to get cuz by the body. Or would Goop do the job. the whole would be behind the jumpseat anyhow.

you could probably just fashion anything rubber like and seal it to the hole. I dont know if they make em that big though.
