Yeah they are a little underpowered, the kicker is rated at 1450. I inverted them because it takes up about half the space.... the box is between .78 and .8ft...i tried them inverted in a couple different boxes, smaller and bigger didnt sound as good. Recommended sealed box size is .65-1.25ft.

I had the type r's before these and i hit 138 db and this is def. louder than the type r's .If you want good sound quality i would recommend the type X's, but if you want really loud subs then there are def. better subs out there.
