Re: radio wiring diagram

if ur speakin of those, those r simply speaker wires. Purple, Green, Gray, & White are your typical FR, FL, BR, BL speaker hookups. The purple/black wire is the negative hookup to the solid purple wire of a particular speaker. any help?

Re: radio wiring diagram

I found this while searching the web, it might help you out.

1989-2002
12v Ignition = Pin# 9 = Yellow or Dk.Green
12v Constant = Pin# 10 = Orange
Ground = Pin# 5 = Black
Illumination = Pin# 7 = Gray
Dimmer/LED = Pin# 6 = Brown or Purple-White
Steering Cont = Pin# 14 = Dk.Blue
VSS = Pin# 16 = Dk.Green
LF Speaker + = Pin# 2 = Tan
LF Speaker - = Pin# 1 = Gray
RF Speaker + = Pin# 4 = Lt.Green
RF Speaker - = Pin# 3 = Dk.Green
LR Speaker + = Pin# 20 = Brown
LR Speaker - = Pin# 19 = Yellow
RR Speaker + = Pin# 18 = Dk.Blue
RR Speaker - = Pin# 17 = Lt.Blue
Please take note that if equipped with the BOSE audio system, there are a few differences in the wiring for them. Connecting regular speakers and radio with the BOSE wiring needs a special adapter for the floating ground.
If you are wiring a deck and the OEM harness no longer exist, please test the wires before connecting. Some wire colors are the same for different functions. Start by testing for Powers,Ground and Illuminations and replace any blown fuses prior to starting.
Later models have (RAP) Retained Accessory Power for the Ignition and is a different color wire than a non-RAP eariler model. Also the later models use a LED Dimmer and earlier use a standard Dimmer. Colors for these are also different.
Pins go as follows : Looking at the plug(s) from the pin side and the clip on the top, #1 starts at the right (4 pin section) and goes to 10 at the left ( 6 pin section). Below that, pin # 11 starts at the right (6 pin section) and ends at 20 to the left ( 4 pin section). *Some vehicles do not have the lower 6-pin section.
Adapter harness id Metra #70-1858 or equivelent

By the time you realize this doesn't say anything it's too late for you to stop reading it.
