Quick Question

My HU...its a Panasonic. From what i remember it only has the wiring for 2 rear speakers and 2 front speakers. ...then the sub and an Aux.
I want to find my wiring schematics to be sure of this. But i know i can hook up the subs i want to get.
Now say i want to wire in 2 6x9s directly through the sterio...no amp. Could i splice off of the rear wires to run in 2 more speakers?...or would that be to much wattage for the radio to handle?

...I cant really think of a better way to word this. But any suggestions?

Re: Quick Question

It won't be too much wattage for the stereo, but rather too low of an impedance for your headunit to handle (if you wired them in parallel). I suppose you COULD wire them in seires.... but that would bring an 8 ohm load to the headunit, so, approximately 8-9 watts rms would get to each speaker (still not a bad thing, but I don't think you'd be happy with the results).

That is, if all the speakers are 4ohm.
