Passenger door trigger wire at BCM 01 sonoma

I am installing a security in my 01 sonoma and am having a problem locating the actual door trigger wire. Directed says orange wire in the purple plug of BCM. another tip i found from an envoy/jimmy said sometimes blue white.

also i cannot get any voltage at the trigger itself. Is it a bad trigger? or should i still be getting voltage from the BCM. my dome lights always stay on but i use my supervision switch below the light switch for now.

any suggestions or advice would be great. thanks

Does the your pass door trigger the domelight to go on?

When i always do these cars i would always go to the domelight and program the alarm for th delay door trigger.

Nice thing about the s-series vehicles is there is a junction box just behind the bottom plastic panel you remove and all your wires are there. Locks, lights, door trigger i used the domelight, and brake wire is in the ignition harness. 2 places run all your wires.

Re: Passenger door trigger wire at BCM 01 sonoma

my dome light stays on now that the door trigger is faulty. it also automatically shuts off my retained accessory for the radio. so when i get it fixed i might just run to the dome light wire as you were saying. seems a lot easier thanks

What do you mean by this?

I have never had any problems with this. program the alarm to the delay and 45 seconds after you arm it the trigger is active. And most s-series if you pull up on the drivers handle it will light it up also (so it will go off before that door is actually open).

if you go to the dome light wire for door trigger...and the customer shuts off the dome light...guess what .. the alarm is not going to go off if you open the door...

Re: Passenger door trigger wire at BCM 01 sonoma

sorry i havent gotten back to replacing the door trigger. i test the wires right behind the trigger and i get 0 voltage either way. and the wire color i got was 2 different colors. i tested both at the BCM and still zero. Is that the BCM that has the problem?
