dude, some of your advice is a little out there. i use titebond and elmers wood glue, its a fact that liquid nails does not hold up to constant flexing, and silicone can damage surrounds on speakers if you don't wait.

Re: My Box Build

Titebond FTW! That is my number 1 favorite glue for joining box boards. Holds stronger than any screw you can put in the box, is water proof, and you can wipe that stuff off the board with a moist cloth before it dries without making a mess. Liquid Nails and other construction adhesives are just too dang messy, too dang thick to properly join boards without squeezing it all out of the joint, and way more expensive than Titebond. Sure, they work, but not as well as something actually meant for the job.

I used tight bond to acutally join the peices together, but the construction adhesive was used on the inside, just for extra insurance on minimizing any leaks from bad cuts, lining up, etc etc

Re: My Box Build

That is slick as sh*t. Does the vinyl match the door color pretty well? Can't tell from the pics if it's a darker grey or jet black. Your vinyl work is pretty damn impressive, also.

Re: My Box Build

The vinyl color matches the vinyl on the top folding consol. Technically, it should match the seat, but since they dirty it will look darker then the fabric. The only thing that doesnt match is the fabric pattern or print. They had like 7 rolls of charcoal colored vinyl, and none of them matched, so I just went with the softest and most pliable stuff they had.

Ill take more pictures today when I get home.
