Re: i need specs for a planet audio amp.

Looks like the Quadra.

http://www.newwavesound.com/usa/cata...lanet/amp.html

Edit:
My baggage, maybe not the Quadra, which is a four channel amp. From the two sets of inputs, I made a bad assumption. This looks to be the right series, though.

ZING!

OK there, silly; I meant vintage, not series.

The F'd up part here is the lack of specific model #'s or at least a fuse to narrow it down by power. I think it's time to open her up take a gut pic. Hopefully there is a model number inside on the board.

yeah....cause i just went through at least 15 manual downloads on their site and not a single amp looks like that or has the inverted output....

and no pics on the first 4 pages of google images.....

Si. Little far to hang out.
Maybe there's a chance that you are on this site via a Blackberry while here in Louisville; standing in line to take a chance at making it as a contestant on American Idol? No?

Re: i need specs for a planet audio amp.

Update:

It is the Big Bang series "Big Bang", as it says on the side. SO you are looking at 500W @ 4ohms, 1000W @ 2ohms.
I happened upon this amp on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Planet-Audio-Vor...QQcmdZViewItem

If you look on the side with the RCA's, you'll notice it says "Vortex"; which was another Big Bang model of that vintage. So the specific model was looking us in the face the whole time.
Pic up that eBay amp to ad to your stereo!

Ran across this. too:
http://brentblawat.com/RaxxLLC/planetaudio.html

Expensive little amp there.

Me neither. Just so happened to find that amp on ebay, and remembered this thread. I don't have any idea what the street prices were for these amps, but MSRP is high as hell.

Don't forget to include the year that it was new, too! $1200 might not sound like much to some of these post Bling Bling generation guys; but $1200 in the 90's was ALOT of money.

Remember the days when the most expensive rims "The Tire Rack" and other similar companies advertised in car magazines didn't have a price, the just said "$CALL$"?
Of course, the price for a set of those old school rims is on par with just ONE donk wagon wheel of today.
