help with type r 10" in back of ext cab and questions about alarm

hey im just wondering if there is ported boxes that would fit more nicely in the back of my 96 ext cab, right now i have a huge ported box and i cant even lean or move my seat back, i love the sound but i hate how it looks back there its not nice at all, its ugly. doesnt look good at all. it looks half assed.

im not sure what to do.. ive been thinking about getting rid of it completely and just getting the J L stealthbox. but i like the type r..

ive researched for along time i just got the set up about 6 months ago and since i had it i hated it.

theres sites out there with the custom boxes that will look nicer back there but they arent ported and i dont think there big enough.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

AND ALSO,

i bought an alarm when i got the system but the alarm isnt loud at all. its very quiet im wondering if there is anyway to turn it up maybe or some way to make it louder.

alright thanks.

as far as the box goes, the the best bet is to build your own. a simple box will not be that hard to make. Plus that way you can make it fit to your liking while at the same time building it to the spec of the woofer

Re: help with type r 10" in back of ext cab and questions about alarm

my siren is in the back of my hood right in the middle........

the problem is.. i dont know how to make a box, ive been thinking about it but i want a ported box and with all the curves im going to need to put into the box it would be kinda diffacult, like right in the back next to the jack on the left side next to the seat i want it built in over that hump and with a curve in the box for my seat to lay back a little more and my sub like going up towards the back window straight up.
----------
port > | |
------
seat / sub |
/ |

or like i guess, i could put the sub in the slant and have the port uptop.. cause with the sub upfireing with the port there wouldnt work.

ive never made a box i dont know the first step and another thing is that i wouldnt know how to get my sub out of the box its already in. lol.

i mean i have the tools to make a box but i just dont know how, and can my cubic space for the sub be spread out over humps and everything? oh and what if i have too much space for the sub to breathe would it affect my sound? ...
