Quite a bit, Although I'm only using it for mp3's and movies. It will also run nav, xm, serious, external progs, gps (mostly same as nav)

I have this question from a friend of mine:

"if you have time to ask him to show a full dash pic that would be nice, what software he's using and any pix of the carputer itself and how/where its setup."

So do you have a full dash pic? What software you using? What's the computer setup look like?

Looks like MediaCar software.

Re: Got the Prototype Truckputer running...

Nice, I've had plans for a writing some media software for a while, just other things have been getting in the way (like school and work, I'm actually posting this from class).

The software looks good, if only it were for Linux and not written in VB. If that were the case, I'd use it, but I'm not about to put Windows in my truck.

Re: Got the Prototype Truckputer running...

Thats badass. I was and still kind of am thinking about making a carputer, I've talked to you about it before... I think. Anyway, did you have to upgrade your alternator? What's its max output and idle output if you know? Are you using an FM modulator for the computer to "sing" to your headunit?

Re: Got the Prototype Truckputer running...

very nice, although i think painting the panel the same colour as the rest would have made for a very professional stock look. nice stuff
