Floor makes a difference (most comps meter on the dash from a specified location via a template). What type of meter and when was it last checked for accuracy?

And like Mr. Blue said, Speedy, what mic, where was it located, and when was it last checked for accuracy?

Unless the operator messed with the calibration (unlikely) it is spot on. The TL is the industry standard nowadays.

Even they need recalibrated about 2x a year just like any quality piece of electrical equipment used as a standard of measure.

I thought that was the point of the instacal program that runs every time before start-up.
http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bi...&f=12&t=000023

Term-LAB does not require calibration. If you run the Calibration utility in the Instacal program, you will corrupt the factory calibration values. There is no way to correct this problem except to send the card back to the factory for re-calibration. (This is not covered by warranty.)

Re: got metered today

if they never needed recalibrated, then Fluke voltmeter and oscilloscopes would never need calibrated either based on similar technology. The link to the post you posted states to not run the calibration utility while the TL is in the Instacal program. It still has the calibration utility for a reason.
