btl beating

buddy of mine just finished install of his btl in a ext cab in a vented box, its on a sundowner 3000, with this amp turned all the way down cause we ain't completely figured out how to tune this amp all the way yet, this thing beats. man with the gain all the way down and not set yet none of the boost on this thing flexes his windsheild roof and rattles the dash. its going to be nasty. i'll get the specs on his box and let all inquiring minds know.

Re: btl beating

You tune it by watts x ohm then figure out the square root and use a DMM to set the gain to that number so lets say you do 2500 x 2ohm then square root of 5000 is 70.71 set your amp gain to that and your done. Make sure your using a tone cd also

Re: btl beating

^ careful with that...tone cd's are sometimes boosted or at a lower level, and its not realistic as music will have dynamic peaks.
