Re: best sub in the world

Why didn't you just have your amp refurbished? I had a name brand amp refurbished. Mailed it to the factory in California and got it back in about two weeks for $250.

Re: best sub in the world

the best idea i can give you is to go on ebay and look for an MTX 9512-44 sub the com in the box at an adio store for about 1400 but on ebay you can find them as cheap as 300.. then liik for an MTX t7801 amp broken or not... thy retail at about 1499... but on ebay they are about 6-700 in working condition and as low as 300 not working.. then go to mtx audio .coom and send the amp to miteck which is an MTX repair shop basically and they will fix it and send it back to you for a generic $95 fee. and they will send you what they call a performance report on the amp which usually is more than the amp is "rated" for because hte rate their amps at 14.4 v...

Re: best sub in the world

I don't get why everyone's so uptight about which brand of amp to use.. The cheap way to go about it, is just go buy a 400W power inverter from Harbor Freight. It's roughly 10x more efficient than a 12V amp, since it converts everything to 120V. Just like running 220V welders actually use less power.

Since it has 10x the efficiency, it's like using a 4000W amp for 12V.

Jeeze, as if I haven't told people this before.

As much as it pains me to learn this, I'm glad... I enjoyed laughing at him, but the average intelligence level on the forum might be brought up a few points now.
