Re: best sub in the world

where are you getting your figures man. i've been looking at an Fi Q which is mid 200 range and a hifonics 1600 watt amp for about the same price. box is a lot cheaper if you build it yourself. i do have an apline type r 12 that i got brand new for $60 lol, but that's beside the point. don't waste money on crap, save up for a system you'll enjoy. now if your just looking for a temp setup, get a cheapo setup at the pawn shop for some boom boom in the time being.

I personally don't think they are...I was making an educated guess based on a previous, race-biased post of yours.

then 150 for the box
How do you figure that much for a box? I only spent about 30 on mine....20 for a sheet of mdf at lowe's, then 5 for hardware, and another 5 for silicone and polyfill.....

Re: best sub in the world

you missed the part where he said it's pre made (crap) box and that he can't build one to specs. if he's serious about any kind of system you should be able to make a box. it's seriously easy as hell. but if you wanna pay a shop all the markup on $25 worth of material so be it. Try looking online for the things you want, they can be considerably cheaper.

Great idea! Get a strong amp, some weak speakers, and then they'll make a big bada boom.
