Alpine SPR-17S to buy or not to buy
I have a MRP-F450 (100rmsx4) that will be pushing it. I need something better than my Rockford punch door speakers and I want to spend no more than 150. I want a crossover and separate tweeters. I can get this right now for $150 shipped new. What is everyones opinions? I already have a MRP-M1000 (1000rmsx1) and a 10" type x.

Re: Alpine SPR-17S to buy or not to buy
type r comps arent bad but they are very power hungry and a not efficient at all. look into the pioneer d series comps. i feel in love with these speakers when i heard them and the price point aint bad either. they are pretty much the same category as your r's your looking for.

Re: Alpine SPR-17S to buy or not to buy
I like these but havent goten to hear them in person yet.
http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=8472 I am not fond of the type-s, you can do sooo much better. These are pretty decent (personally messed with em) http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...stics+S60.html These are nice. Youll either love em or hate em though. http://www.woofersetc.com/p5207/CLS6...t-Speakers.htm These are very nice. Actually kinda wish I ordered these instead of the Kappas. http://www.woofersetc.com/p3203/TRC6...t-Speakers.htm There are tons of brands. Get out to your local shops and listen to sets. Find ou what you like and then see if the shop will give you a decent price. If they do buy local, if not buy online. |
