Re: 2 or 4????

if you get the two ohm subs, you can wire them down to one ohm, or up to four. if you get the four ohm ones, you can wire them down to two, or up to eight. really it just depends on wether your amp is one ohm, two ohm, or four ohm stable. you want the lowest ohm load so you can get the most power from your amp.

are they dual vc? assuming they are not dual vc, and they take 3000w max, you can probably feed them 1200-1500 rms. and you are going to run two of them, so you would need to be able to run 2500-3000w rms. thats a shitton of power, you would need to upgrade your electrical system. big three, extra battery, hi output (200amp) alternater. after that, you would need to choose an amp that is either stable at one ohm, or two amps that are stable at two ohms. that is your choice. i personally would go with sundown, they make a great product.

They're Pioneer Premier 3000 watt max Subs if that helps and yes they are dual vc and actually i was only going to run one of them. RMS is 1000 watts and any other suggestions besides sundown haha

infinity, alpine(you'll pay a pretty penny), us amps, older ppi, there are others.... i think sundown will be nicest on your budget. you could run kicker but there are a hundred reasons not to starting with it's kicker, and ending with...it's kicker... if you want to run one, and they are dcv, get the two ohm model and run them in parallel for a one ohm, or run them in series for a four ohm. or get the four ohm model and run it in parallel for a two ohm or run it in series for a 4ohm...

on the subs it doesn't mater but it does on the load of the amp, every time the resistance is cut in half, you THD will double, which isn't normally a problem becasue most of the time it is .01% or something and it isn't noticeable at all. im not sure if the load affects signal to noise ratio or not.

Re: 2 or 4????

it does once you get into the .5-.35 area but not many setups run that low. im fact, im one of the only ones that i know of that is running that low. i think im at .38 on my hk401sx on 3 type r dual 2 all in parallel

wow didnt realize how bad of a taste Kicker has left with A LOT of people on this forum. I would run a kicker amp..

the sundown SAE1000D would be a good choice, powerful - reliable - clean - power.

kicker amps put out dirty signals. so i don't run them, and the sundown sae1000d is what i plan on getting next.

Mine hasnt had any problems, but what i may think sounds good, which is anything above stock, and my last cheap ass setup, is different than what Judds, or someone else on here might think. Kicker's amps are also usually underated a good bit. My zx250.2 had 293 on the test sheet that came with it

Re: 2 or 4????

they definately put out tons of power, its just that signal quality is in question by many. this is of course in comparison to alpine jl and such
