remove three (3) 9/32 screws from driver's side underpanel and allow panel to hang Figure 1. below

remove five (5) 9/32 screws from center underpanel (3 from front edge and 1 from each rear side) Slide panel toward driver's side to remove (fig 2)

Remove four (4) Torx T-30 screws and threee (3) 9/32 screws from knee panel (one is accessed by removing ashtray) pull knee panel down slightly to assess steering column. brake release cable prevents removal of panal (Fig3)

remove two (2) 15mm nuts from steering column and allow column to drop enough for radio trimpanel to be removed. (fig4)

remove two phillip head screws located above insturment cluster and then carefully remove trimpanel. Once removed just removed four (4) 9/32 scres from climate control box and the other four from radio and your done. pull radio foward and disconnect wiring harness and antenna. reverse all direction for install.

yeah... you have two choices that dash kit... or one of the flat mount ones which causes you to mod shit inside the dash so the stereo will fit

Metra's dash kit (99-3043) for those year trucks looks the same as the scoche kits that wally words sells .. IF you can find the correct one at wally world...

Cliff notes, if you do not have a tilt column be VERY VERY careful around the hazard switch or you will be replacing it .. (search for hazard switch replacement if yours is already broke , you dont have to spend $200+ to fix it.)

um nope that is why you drop the column to get around the switch...did you not look at the pics?

No haha , an the metra kit that I used for the 95 s10 that I didnt had been opened with no directions.. I thought about dropping the column but said fock it .. so I ended up having to get the replacement hazard switch (not the assembly). Beat I drop the column on the next one I do haha .

Best kit out there is a radio delete panel from the GM parts dept. Same color, texture and flush mount. You just have to cut the DIN hole in it and remove some of the plastic behind the unit so it sits flush.
