What's up with this hot spot?
okay, so i had some time to play with and i decided to change to LEDS. At first, this is what it looked like :
Don't mind the pics quality, its from my phone ![]() but after figuring out why the tach is dim after 2k, i decided to play around with the bulbs and i got this: ![]() I switched every single bulb in every single way, to see if the 1-40mph will light up again, and none worked. Anyone know why this is the case? |

Re: What's up with this hot spot?
you may have a defective bulb that is not lighting up on one side. also check the the tabs on the bulb socket to make sure they are in contatc with the circuit board. tkae all the bulbs out and bend the tabs "up" that helped me.
then connect them to a 12 volt source with some aligator clips tomake sure all the leds are lighting up like they are supposed to |

Would it be okay to solder the ends of the bulbs to the metal clips or no?
