roll cage
Anyone ever put a roll cage in their 2nd gen? I think they look sweet and might get one, more for show than anything.

Re: roll cage
If you are going to do it, do it right. I have planned one for my truck (4pt through the rear glass, replacing it with Lexan), just havent gotten around to it. What kind of cage are you looking for?
2pt with a crossover bar for 5pt harnesses 4pt through the rear window 4pt with door bars 4pt with swing outs 6pt through the glass and door bars 6pt with door bars and front through the dash... there are many variables. But you will just look like a fucking ricer if its done wrong or not to spec... And what the hell for, if you dont need it? For show, you should probably just do a 2pt with a harness bar Last edited by 1fast4by : 08-03-2008 at 11:42 PM. |

Re: roll cage
Don't want anything that goes through the cab or dash. Something with main hoop, swing out door bars, roof hoop, windshield post runner and seat crossmember. Almost a 10pt minus rear braces and dash bar

Re: roll cage
You want a 4 point ..
and IMO it would be GHEY to ne roll cage if your truck cannot back up reason for it to have a cage in it . Most people with fast/quick street strip cars try an get as close to hidden as possible . like Huggin the pillars hell I have even seen ppl wrap them the same color as interior panels .. |

Re: roll cage
thats dumb. do it right. it might actually save your life. or if you do it to look cool and say, use exhaust tubing, it can actually end up killing you someday.
its gonna be work, so might as well be functional |

Re: roll cage
and that would be a 11.99 et or faster for atleast a 6 point bolt in .
(unless nhra has changed there rules in the last cpl of yrs.) I think SOME vehicles (verts) have to have a roll bar or 4 pt @ 12.99 .. |
