Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
Fix your president-rigged power wire for your stereo in the door jam. That is so ghetto.
Door panels look pretty good. Not really feeling the XTREME on the dash though. |

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
cowl and wiper arms are kinda icky looking...
and all the rest is just what has already been mentioned...power wire is hack, xtreme lettering is goofy looking, being its off centered and all...not the way i'd do it, but to each his own, if everyone liked the same shit, it'd be kinda boring. |

I hate painted dashes look like ricy hondas but the outside of the truck looks good...and even if the power cable was just a temp you should try and make it look neat and tidy the first time and not like a hack job

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
wow everyones bashing lol.
i think it looks good. i dont like things that look the same as everyone elses though. only thing id say that would have made it look better minus the mirror ofcourse would be white wipers to match the arms, and making the Xtreme lettering moved more to the right. eitherway i still think you did a good job. do what you like, not others. just go to the junkyard and grab some mirrors you like and modify them to fit since ur saving money for a turbo. beats buying new aftermarket stuff, and will be different. oh, i forgot to add... most definately move that wire out from your door jam asap. if theres no other gromets already on your passenger side, just drill out a hole on the firewall underneath the passenger side dash, grommet it, and run that wire through safely. very quick and easy job. Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
to me it is a ricey feel of a truck... this kid acts like nobody gets its an extreme since he has it posted on the outside, the inside and the wheels. its like a person with a honda putting honda stickers on the outside of the car. there is useless decals on the outside of the truck, making it feel like u wanted a honda civic instead got a truck instead.... who knows

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
pride in what you own. many people do that with what they own, imports and domestics. Roush kits, Saleen kits, GT cars, Trans ams, a lot of domestics have decals/logos all over as well. i dont think its a ricey thing.

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
It would have looked good if you would of picked a few key items in your interior and painted those and not riced the whole thing out. If you would have just done your doors and gauge surround that would have been cool. Lose the Walmart mailbox letters on the dash too, thats all.

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
ok lil update and alot of you have been bashing!! but hey whatever floats ur boat i guess! like i said its not even close to done the whole interior is going to be white and the dash will be fiberglassed by a local shop that does great work i just did soem of the stuff for now so i dont have to do it later to match up! and i dont care if u say its ricey im sure theres things poeple would say look ricey that other dont its just a matter of opinion really! im not goin for the typical 22"dubs chrome crazy paint jobs on the outside im just oign simple white interior black outside and thats it with turboed engine! and yea the power wire i know its a bad location, already moved..the extreme lettering on the inside looks better in person from that angle it just looks weird ive had tons of people like it and ask me if i did it myself lol,i dont get why putting xtreme on my s10 window was bad either, and hers a dif pic of the exterior no more white on outside looks better and the orange signals are blacked out as well now ill have another pic of it tomorrow sometime!

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
there were little plastic tabs that were like melted to the back of it that kept it on secure i snaped them off and then when i was done to get it back on i used small staples throught he backside to keep it on or u could try to heat it back on liek it was before but im not to sure how u would..i dont think a glue gun would hold strong enough either so hope that helps if thats what u were askn!

the wire running through the door jam is just waiting for trouble... the xtreme lettering looks like something you'd find on a mailbox or some shit - its whatever you like though man. |

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
lol yea it would be nice to see people not say negative remarks u say its whatever u like but u bash before u even say it...if people dont have anything nice to say then don't i dont go into peoples threads and just start saying thats ****n ugly...ill just not say anything cuz it might of been alot of work for that person and stuff! so people **** OFF!!!
and as i said before colbye im not tryn to make this into a show truck with bags and shit like that..and you obviously didnt see the post that the wire isnt there anymore and the front kit is because im doing a turbo project on my s10 and its a front mount intercooler so that kit does the job perfect! and it is actually better then my other one the street scene gen II bumper i had before was retarded it didnt even line up right with the extreme kit! i think its funny when people dont read that i said the whole dash is getn fiberglassed..including where the lettering is! its all still a work in progress im buying more for my turbo build so that stuff is last! |

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
cool. i wasn't bout to read the whole thread dude - i just gave my opinion on it. many others agree with me too. and thats cool that your dash is getting fiberglassed - i don't see the point in fiberglassing a dash - you can simply smooth and paint it, and with custom bezel work and anything with plastic theres no need for fiberglass - fusor FTW. |

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
eh yea i guess...im sure they do agree but for the application im going for and the fact that i got it for 100 bucks from a guy here in the classifieds works out perfectly, my intercooler can be seen now when i install it and get better airflow! with the intercooler and the pipes i think it will look alright instead of empty holes behind it! lol |

nice "temp" wire, you do realize that there is a hole in the firewall right under the blower box, there is a rubber piece that can be moved and a wire can b put through there, but like you said its "temp"

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
theres deffinately enuff bashing, however i have to say the "temp" 4 guage wire isnt hittin on much , however seems like noone saw the 20 other temp wires on the drivers side? the white on black is and can be a hott combo. however the "xtreme" on the dash truly isnt hittin on much. i mean hell to pay extra for a bunch of plastic ? how extreme can that be ? the Xtreme version of the s10 doesnt look to bad however why did they name it xtreme?
either way keep ya creative juices flowin. i jus picked another 10 now i have a first gen now a third gen and an astro. wut to do!??? |

the white pops out a lot. the xtreme throws it off a little but i like the black white thing. my moms car is pure white with a red interior so the whole interior to exterior doesn't bother me.

Re: Restyling the interior/door panels!
Door panels look alright, much better than they were, I hope you prepped them properly.
But what I don't get is why do people paint every thing they can remove when it comes to interiors? I just don't get it. I mean why paint a defroster vent or stock speaker grills a contrasting color? Is that what you really want to draw attention to? Same goes for the wiper cowl... Just looks tacky. The generic XTREME on the dash looks awful too. And that front bumper cover just looks cheap like every other ricer with a 'shogun' or 'combat' or whatever kind of kits they call them. Not to mention those hot LED washer nozzles. This type of stuff that gives the rest of us Xtreme owners a bad rep. |

glad to hear you fixed the power wire, it really isnt hard to hide it do why not do it the first time?
the doors look okay, im not sure i would have done them white, maybe just part of them white, i cant complaint about the speaker covers and defrost vent since mine are the same way |
