Overhead Console Temp Sensor

I have recently installed my short overhead console with Mode Functions. I have read I need to calibrate the compass, which I haven't done yet, but will. My question is my temp sensor says its 104 outside when its like 75-80. I have the ground wire direct to the battery, ( I may move it) and the other wire into the harness. Is my sensor bad?

The next question is, is there a way to reset the module so that it resets the average speed?

Thanks,
Nick

Re: Overhead Console Temp Sensor

thats what calibrating is supposed to fix.

try to calibrate first then see if its still wrong.

Re: Overhead Console Temp Sensor

Calibrating the compass will also calibrate the Temp sensor or the resetting of the average speed?
Sorry.

Re: Overhead Console Temp Sensor

lol, durr. sorry. I am at work and apparently wasnt paying attention.

There has to be a test for the resistance at certain temperatures for the sensor. you might just have a bad sensor.
