No Illumination
Checked my fuses and all are good, but I have no dash illuminations lights. My headlaps and parklamps switches both work, and when I move my dimmer all the way to the right the interior light will come on but no dash lights?
Bad lights in the cluster or dimmer switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: No Illumination
assuming you have an older s10, i have the same problem with mine besides 1 or 2 lights come on when i start but nothing after that. i pulled the cluster, bulbs were all fine, i check the wiring and so forth and all good. im assuming my cluster just has a bad circuit on the plastic board that wraps around the back, or whatever term its called. also, my lighs in my temp control dont work either and never checked the wiring to see if that ran off the cluster or not.

Re: No Illumination
Probably a bad dimmer switch.

Re: No Illumination
i cleaned the dimmer switch contacts on mine and checked the wiring also and cleaned the part where the clip clips onto and still no luck for me. i ran 2 leds which i put above the guages off the dimmer switch which work and to get me by until i pull the dash to do work to that.

Re: No Illumination
as i am searching and reading more on this from other years and blazer's trucks.. one of the fixes seem to be the clusters ground. so anyone know the ground wire color for the cluster's? i got an 88, and im guessing the colors remain the same for most the years or close to. id like to trace the ground down and mess with that and see what i get, or if u know where the clusters ground is at that would be better.
