Re: my 1st gen interior project
got some updates!!!!
made a false back wall to go behind both seats, and mounted the amp and hooked up the sub. tuned everything and then we took it apart so my sister can wrap and stitch it. also got the cupholder done too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i bought all the suede earlier in the week so when my sis gets home from atlanta next weekend, she's gonna wrap everything so it should(fingers crossed) be back in the truck for G4L on the 13th. |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
i went to a poker supply website and bought 2. i paid more for shipping than i did for the cup holders. the only thing i fiberglassed was the back part where the sub goes. everything else is just getting suede wrapped over it. it's not gonna be just plain black suede either. i'm having my sis stitch the two side pieces and the top piece together with silver thread. which i'm hoping will flow nicely with all the other chrome and stainless pieces i have in the console. |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
well here's a pic someone took from the G4L last week. it would have been in the show, but the tranny let go on the way, so i was pissed and just left it on the trailer.
but you can see the freshly wrapped console all put back in. my sis still has to stitch the back part up but i'll have her do that while the trucks at the tranny shop. ![]() |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
that is my lokar hood release. it's not mounted to anything cause i'm on the fence between leaving it or using hood pins. so i usually tuck it inside the console. BRIAN, you probably won't see the truck until next summer. once the tranny gets fixed i'm gonna change the MC and do the doors. then come sept. i'm bringing it to Eric's for the backhalf and new tubs. after this winter, the only thing that i'll have left to do to it is paint. |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
no i'm not suiciding the doors. are trucks are enough alike i'm not adding suicide doors to the list. i've decided i'm doin my own door panels. the only pics i have are in this thread, but i'm pullin the sub box out sat. so i can take more pics then. what are you specifically lookin for? |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
I like the way the dash looks. I think I would have painted the dash & the console body color. I am not critizing your work or anything just my opinion.

Re: my 1st gen interior project
well the harness, computer, and fuse block for the motor is under the dash. i don't have a harness for my seats, they were manual seats to start. i chopped the tracks off and made my own brackets in order to lower the seat about an inch and a half. |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
SORRY MAN.. should have been a bit clearer..
I was talking about your 4pt harnesses.... where and how did you mount those.. b/c it seems like there is no space to mount them |

Re: my 1st gen interior project
ooooh. hell that was easy. ![]() this is behind the seat where i bolted the shoulder straps. i basically just bolted them right to the floor. but under the floor i have a really big washer so the bolt won't pull through the floor if i'm ever in an accident. it's as simple as that. it's not the "correct" way to mount them, but i wasn't about to weld in a roll cage....lol. |

Re: my 1st gen interior project

very incorrectly... but i dont want to put in a cage either.. i may weld up a bar that goes across the back.. but i dunno |
