making sunfire/cavi seats more comfortable?

last week i bought some sunfire seats from a junkyard. 35 bucks for a pair so not a bad deal at all and they were in really good condition. well anyways i put them in my truck and they just felt real stiff compared to the 60/40 i had in there. so today i decided ill take the three springs and the wiring that is the suspension for the seat out (if you flip the seat over you will know exactly what im talking about). and it seamed a lot more comfortable and and i sit about a half inch to an inch lower. i just wanted to know if anyone else has done this or if it is a bad idea?

Seat sag, seams rip, get in a wreck you go through the bottom of the seat and your ass hits the floor when you bounce back.

D... all the above. The springs is what supports your weight. Without those, basically you are being supported by the material and foam only.
