How heat resistant is fiberglass?

I'm....thinking about making something. Just wondering how well it would fair with constant 12 hours of heat from a 75W bulb a day, and 65~70% humidity?

Re: How heat resistant is fiberglass?

No, I'm making a new lid for my Anole breeding tank. I used to have this screen lid on it, with foil masking off places where the light doesn't shine through to trap in humidity. It worked...but my cat has this habit of jumping on top and watching them scurry about. Last time he jumped up there he fell through.

So now instead of spending $75 on a new one then modifying it for my needs...I figured I'd just make it the way I want it in first place. Hopefully cheaper too, I have no idea how much fiber glassing costs.

I would think it would be fine, it cant rust so theres no problem for the humidity haha.

By the way I had to google Anole because I had no clue wtf that was, pretty cool look lizards. What do you do with them sell them?

Anole? Hell we have them wild around here. I used to catch them and bass fish with em. Also had a few as pets growing up.

Yeah, they are cool...they have always been my favourite since I moved 'state side. They are half the reason I got into herpetology(the other half is the complete lack of reptiles in the island.)

I used to breed Tokays, but the market for them is low. So I'm going to try my hand at breeding Anoles.

They were the basis for the skin texture/look on Jurassic Park you know.
