Gauge Cluster Window?
I got a chrome cluster piece to go over the gauge cluster. The problem is the window was glued on and the only way I could get it off was to break it LOL. Looks better without the window I guess. Any ideas what I can do or get a window??

Re: Gauge Cluster Window?
I had the same problem. I painted my gauge surround, and tried getting off that damn window. Of course, it broke, and now I'm stuck without one.. Its been like that for a few years now, and it looks horrible. I need to clean it out and fix it. If you use 1/8" lexan from Lowes or Home Depot (I think I bought it from Lowes), you can form your own new piece. The only problem was getting it to adhere to the edges. I need to find some CRAZY A$$ glue or epoxy that will hold it steady. If you clamp it and glue it on one end, you could work your way to the other and have it looking very good!
Good luck with yours, let us know what you do with it! |

Re: Gauge Cluster Window?
Well mine broke when I was unscrewing that screw at the top of the cluster that holds the whole faceplate on. I thought I'd get some 3/32" Plexiglass for some strength.....Yea, I've had no luck with cutting it out! It cracks when I'm ALMOST done, and that's with a Coping Saw.
Any ideas where I can get some thinner clear plastic? |
