Electric Side Windows

I would like to put electric operators on the side windows of my 98 extended cab. I would appreciate any ideas to operate these windows from driver door switches.

Re: Electric Side Windows

so you just want an electric accuator to pop the window out or are you looking to fabricate something so you can roll the window down?

Re: Electric Side Windows

with a little fab work you may be able to get the little motors from the rear side windows from a minivan. if i remember correctly some of the older grand caravans had power ones.

Re: Electric Side Windows

I just want to pop them out. Mounting the drives will be my challenge. It looks like the rear speakers well have to be relocated.
Thanks for your suggestions on vehicles to look for in salvage.

Re: Electric Side Windows

that would be sweet to have them roll up and down and wire them in to a factory 4-door balzer power window switch rear rear window controls

Re: Electric Side Windows

I had the same idea! I posted something on here back in the day. They have them on all kinds of mini-vans, so it can't be too crazy difficult to do. If you do it though, take lots of pictures of the install and give the details so I can someday do it myself.
