Doing the 60/40 chop

I'm cutting my down to buckets soon, in my search I couldn't find an answer.
What's best kind of knife or tool for cutting & shapping the seat foam?

Go get a cheap electric kitchen knife from walmart. They work great. My dad has used one for years in his upholstery shop

Re: Doing the 60/40 chop

Did the chop, used a razor knife and just "scored & tore", just folded the leftover cover materal over & under. Any "slop" is hidden by the console. Looks great! Thanks for your tips.

Here are the pict. You can't see where the cutting was done and the whole thing took less than 2 hours + time out to drink a beer! The console is a 98+.
