Custom dashes... Post Up Pics!

I'd like to see pics of custom dashes, and pics of stock dashes that have been glassed or smoothed and painted. I'm getting ready to start on my dash and I can't figure out what I want to do just yet. So if you got pics of your dashes post them up please.

I did several searches and the only thing that I came up with is first gen custom dashes.

stock style glassed. shaved 4x4switch, airbag switch, lip around gauges, the top mounting hole above the cluster.

now, glassed with a screen where the airbag was, the dip in the middle shaved, audiobahn speakers molded in with tweets as well, shaved side vents. the bezel, 07' grand prix vents, plus everything the other one had.

im in the process of smoothing mine in my 2000 sonoma and putting in a few gauges, but heres a dash that came with a truck i had, i just smoothed it a li , put the main gauges in and had my buddy paint it...

but heres what i have now, but its all out and almost done, everything is getting smoothed/painted

and i did my ^ console is bedliner, looks good actually, i might redo it or leave it, matches the bed lol

Can you buy dashs like that or do you have to make it I want to do somthing liek what i see in these pics for my 1997 Jimmy
But im not good with projects like that so not sure what to do

Hell yea bro, your stock dash looked sick, and i like the new one too, The gran prix vents turned out nice. Are you gonna paint the new dash the same color?

Actually, it's pretty easy to smooth out your stock dash, It's more time consuming than anything, but once you get it sanded just take it to a body shop and have it painted. not looking for the smooth down looking for hte one like the blue one above or do you mean just take a sander sand it down and that blue is all paint ? it looks like its plastic am i seeing it right ?

thanks for the compliments guys. the blue dash is no longer. had a major crack in it and wasnt holding up too well. everything will be painted again, just waiting til im finished everything i want to do then paint it all at the same time. color wont be the dark blue, since the truck is no longer that color. although its a sick color!

If you want your dash to look like the blue one, all you do is take the dash out, most of which is plastic, and sand it until it's completely smooth, then paint it. It's that simple, but I suggest you read the how to and follow the instructions exactally. Oh and yes the dash is plastic sanded smooth then painted.

im getting rid of all the suede this spring and its getting replaced by glass, painted some sort of dark grey, not really set on a color yet

the stock cluster is only temporary. Im going to be doing a 350 motor swap soon, so when that gets done im going to be running all new gauges in the fairlane cluster
