Took 3.452 seconds to find it. Didn't involve any reading.

How about you get off here and not worry about your gauge cluster and go be there for you family.

little update, for the 82-85 dash, you need 9 194 bulb's for the gauges, and another 194 for the a.c/heat

Re: Convert Your Cluster & Control lights to LED's How-to!

Just making sure this should be all I need...

98 S10 no tach, just doing the cluster no HVAC or anything else.

6 WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb - red
2 T1.5-x Instrument LED bulb - green
1 T1.5-x Instrument LED bulb - blue

does this look right?

I finally got mine done a couple months ago, i used 6 WLED-x5 Wide angle LEDs and i work at night so i enjoy them every day.

also i didnt reuse the old bulb sockets, i bought some bulb sockets at advance auto parts.

interior lighting is pretty much done

computer cathodes from xoxide.com, i soldered the power wires to the passenger side bulb socket (under the dash).

also took about 45 minutes - 1 hour to get my led lights installed, i went slow and wasnt really in a rush, also i made sure everything was right.

Re: Convert Your Cluster & Control lights to LED's How-to!

Just ordered mine! I went with the wide-angle 5 LED bulbs for the guages. It looks like they really eliminate the bright spots. For the needles, I was thinking of taking them off and wet sanding them with a real fine grit to get the orange off and give them like a "frosted" look. Anyone ever try this? Thoughts?

Re: Convert Your Cluster & Control lights to LED's How-to!

you don't really have to wet sande the needles, just sand/scrape the orange off of them. although i couldn't do mine like that, s the ndeedles were uber brittle

Haha I just spent like an hour sanding all my needles down to get them nice and frosty, lol. I didn't get them in yet, I'll post up some pics when I do. I hope they look awesome cause it was a PITA.

Re: Convert Your Cluster & Control lights to LED's How-to!

Sent in some bulbs for warranty because they were faulty and burned out and they're mailing them back to me. They should be here in a few days, just thought I would let everyone know that this company who sells the LED's is great to deal with.
