BlueNoma SKVP has been hard at work on the new interior !

*** Most of this I am copying and pasting from our forum ***

It's on Bitches

I'll have more to say on this in a couple weeks !

Truck is taking shape, New bed, new ZQ8 daily wheels and now the whole interior, all I can say right now is watch out Brian and Doc !

I should be taking the seats and gauge pod to the upholsterer this week for tweed and then doing the parts that I can do without fear of ruining them.

Then some shiny bits.

I got the seats stripped down and will be taking the covers in for tweed as well as the gauge pod on Friday, the rest of the interior has been stripped and is awaiting tweed as well. I figured I might as well start this because the truck looks ok on the outside now and I sit inside of it so why not finish it, once the upolstery is done it is on to billet goods.

And for those that did not know that I have a custom 3 guage pillar pod, I picked up one off ebay and trimmed it and reshaped it to fit my stock pillar and then used dura-mix and a few rivets to fasten it, i'll also throw up a pic of the underside so you can see how i trimmed it out.

notice that i still have the upper metal clip as well as the lower one (not pictured in this one) I wanted this to stay put and not fall down.

I ordered up some Black Marble tweed from Select Products and had a local upholstery shop remove the oem inserts and sew in my tweed with new 1/2" foam and also added the pleats !

Take a look, let me know what ya think ?

(I decided to leave them as high back instead of cutting them down, why.....I actually like them that way !)

The tweed I used is from http://www.selectproducts.com Jasone and Brian also got their tweed there as well.

I cannot wait to see the 3 gauge pod when it is done !

My seats look so awsome now that sunlight is hitting them instead of dim livingroom lights !

Well I just spent some more money

I ordered up some billet goodies, here is the run down so far

http://www.billetspecialties.com

Billet automatic gear shifter, window cranks, ribbed screw-on wiper post covers, roof grab handle.

http://www.kaikproducts.com

Billet door speaker grilles, dash speaker grilles, defroster vent, dash grab handle, door handle cups (no lock hole and ball milled).....(all in stock, should have it mid to late next week !)

http://www.billetin.com

Billet hvac and headlamp knobs.

i just need to contact http://www.billetandacrylic.com/ and order the headlamp plate, air bag cover (without the hole), side defroster vents, fuse box cover and the hvac plate.

Still need the steering wheel from Billet Specialties, I have decided to get the Psycho with a black leather half wrap.

Just got back from the Upolstery shop and looky at what I got !

Re: BlueNoma SKVP has been hard at work on the new interior !

Pics of the billet I have so far........... pics are dim, i'll take better ones once it all is unwraped.

Billet Specialties

left to right---------------------> Auto gear selector, Passenger roof grab handle, Window cranks, ribbed wiper post covers

Billetin...........HVAC and Headlamp

Kaik Products and the Envoy Chrome door handles.

Billet and Acrylic

HVAC plate, headlamp switch plate, airbag switch plate, side dash defroster plates, fuse panel plate ! ***notice the airbag plate has no hole ! ! !

Last night I picked up the Pioneer Premier deh-p590ib, went to the storage garage today and installed it and removed the door panels for tweeding. I looked at an alpine but imo the ipod interface was a pain to use and navigate.

I ordered a custom one-off peice of billet today from Billet & Acrylic, it will be going in the console in place of the cd/cass bin. It will be ball milled and will house two toggles, one momentary for the SD horns and the other is a three way (switchbox - off - switchbox/compressors).

Tonight I got the Mustang GT dome lamp wired up, gotta run out there tomarrow and try to bust the seatbelt bolts loose so I can remove the b-pillars for tweeding.

here is a pic of the deck, and i must say it's ipod navigation is the easy and fast !

I picked up some MTX TX6001 Seperates..........I got the Tweeters mounted on some ABS that I cut into 4x6 plates and mounted them in the dash, I have also remounted the light sensor for the automatic headlamps.

Starting to add Sound Deadener fro Stinger.

Just finished tweeding the seat track covers and the sill plates.

Here is that custom billet plate for the console that Billet and Acrylic made for me.

Also picked up a Mustang GT dome lamp.

The bulb in the middle is now a true white, I forgot this lamp took 3 4211 festoon bulbs.

When it came time to wire it, I just spliced into the rearveiw mirror wires and it works like a champ !

Although not the interior..... I finally mounted up the notch cover, yep it is stainless steel !

It will be polished to a mirror finish in the next week or two !

I managed to destroy a $35 irwin unibit in the process. I never would have thought that drilling through 400 series stainless would be that difficult !

Re: BlueNoma SKVP has been hard at work on the new interior !

Just got the door cups in. I'm very pleased with them. I opted for the cups withoout lock holes...since the doors are shaved there is no need for the lock lever anyway, besides the ballmilling is way to pImP. I still need to disassemble the upper trim and get it tweeded soon.

I know the mats look like hell, but here are the pedals I picked up last summer from Billet Specialties, these are specifically made for S10's.

More ball milled googies............

This is so bad ass !

Damn that looks good.. I'm leaning towards yanking my suede off and throwing tweed on there every time I see tweed.

How much did it run you for the seats to get upholstered? I want that done, but I don't have that kind of skill, and not going to piss away leather seats from my own screw up.

If you didn't all ready have the AVS billet switchbox I was going to recommend it to you but seeing that you all ready have it I'm sure it's going to sit well inside with the rest of your billet goodies.

no paint for me, just tweed !

don't get me wrong, painted interiors are awesome just not for me, cruising around and sitting in Brian's (BLACKZQ8stepside) truck leaves you almost speechless, it is just too much time and money for me to do that right now. i'm in the proccess of saving for a new house.

I'll be getting some nice daylight pics this weekend.....I sure hope the steering wheel gets here fast so I can install it on Saturday.

they fit awesome, and they are indexed, so you can actually choose the direction of the open / closed position without removing the entire handle.
