5 speed shifter removal

I've tried to search and i couldn't find anything... Does anyone know how to remove the shifter it's a 2000 S-10

You have to unscrew the whole shaft/knob as it's a one piece deal.

i got the knob off... i tried to unscrew it but i couldn't get it to budge
