Any problems with the digital switchs?
Hey I just bought a zirgo digital ajustable fan switch, I like the box and all, but the 2 small wires going to the probe that they tell you to run in the upper rad hose, is that safe? anyone over tighten the hose clamp and wreck the wires or have any leaks? Any way i can stick a probe in the fins of the rad while still using this switch box?

Re: Any problems with the digital switchs?
Ive ran my prob stuck in the radiator and in the upper intake hose.
When I ran it in the upper hose, I had to use two hose clamps to get it to seal properly |

Re: Any problems with the digital switchs?
Sorry, I mispelled probe in my first post.
Anyways, This was with the worm drive clamps, and it leaked. I had to use two. Either way, it's not a big deal. I don't have the probe type anymore, but I ran it for about 6 years on my Z-71 with no problem, and on a 76 F-100 for about 4 years before I got rid of it, and its still doing fine now (another 4 years later) |

Re: Any problems with the digital switchs?
i can send a sensor housing that has been drilled to accept the probe and you can use epoxy to install it if this is the way you want to go

Re: Any problems with the digital switchs?
So Do you usaually run this in the thermostate housing? or ? got a pic? I like the sounds of this way better then running two gear clamps! Any chance you have a probe that goes into the fins of the rad? |

What's wrong with using 2 clamps?
And each application would be different. You won't necessarily need two clamps, just depends. |

Re: Any problems with the digital switchs?
there should be another port on the side of the block like the ones found on small blocks if not a "tee" fitting can be utilized to access the port for both applications
