Re: S-10 Main Wiring Harnesses

Hey, for some reason my computer wont load you wiring harness chart section. So I'll ask you here.

I'm looking into converting my EFI 4cyl to a carbed V8. Of course I'm keeping stock S-10 steering column and seen where you said your harness has the connections for that. So here's the rest of my questions:

With the V8 swap, am I able to keep factory gauge cluster?

Well basically, instead of asking a bunch of questions, do you have a harness that will utilize most stock components (gauge, lights, brakes etc) but hook up the V8?

And no, I dont have power anything inside the truck, but I am converting manual tranny to auto. I'll be running the normal no a/c & heat, have compressors & air guages, radio, etc. Shaved doors aswell

Re: S-10 Main Wiring Harnesses

Our wiring harness is just the MAIN harness. You will be using your existing engine harness. Our harness will utilize most of your stock components. Sounds like our basic harness will work fine for your project. Have you checked out our instructions?

Do you mean how you would run it differently? Hide it?

Re: S-10 Main Wiring Harnesses

oh i should of been more specific. i was talking more about if the wiring harness's are separated in the truck. or are they both wired together and i will have to get a wiring schematic to separate the engine harness from the harness that this will replace. and will i have to leave the original fuse box's in for just one or two engine harness fuses. that kinda stuff. i don't need you to get truck specific for me but just kinda a ruff idea so i know how much work i got ahead of me and if i need to start tracking down the schematics. thanks for all the help i have a strong feeling that this wiring harness has a good chance from saving me from getting more mad at the original one and doing something stupid

This is a MAIN wiring harness. We do offer Engine Compartment harnesses. I will need more info on your engine to provide you with a quote for a complete wiring harness.

Re: S-10 Main Wiring Harnesses

$90 for the engine compartment harness. Does NOT come with OEM connectors. You will need to purchase new from an auto parts store or reuse current connectors.

Our harnesses do NOT include the connectors. I recommend visiting your local auto supply store. NAPA seems to have the best prices and quality.

Yes the main & engine harnesses will be what ya need. But what are you doing for a headlight switch and other switches?

You will need to purchase the connectors from Napa or another auto supply parts store.

The engine compartment harness is $90
