L.E.D.'s Flashing too FAST or SLOOOOW?

So you've bought some L.E.D tail lights or bulbs but now your lights flash too fast or too slow!

It's a simple fix! All you need to do is add a L.E.D. Flasher. We offer 4 different flashers to meet your budget and needs.

No Load Adjustable Pulse Flasher

No Load Adjustable Flasher

No Load Fixed Flasher

Heavy Duty 12v Flasher 552

All of the above flashers are round units. They will not work on the 1998 and up S10's

How/Where exactly do you install these?

Also, when i switch my brake lights to LED, they blink fast. But when I switch my front blinkers to LED, they don't blink at all, and the dash indicator lights stay lit. Will one of these fix THAT problem too?

The S-Series truck flasher is located behind the glovebox. Just remove it and replace with this.

This should correct the issues you are having. The stock flasher cannot handle the load.

Ouch the flasher the original poster linked to is only $10, but the shipping is $8, which kind sucks considering it will only cost them $1.56 to ship it

No Load Adjustable Pulse Flasher

No Load Adjustable Flasher

No Load Fixed Flasher

Heavy Duty 12v Flasher 552

what is the difference in them or are they basically the same?

No Load Adjustable Flasher is the flasher we recommend. If you get a fixed flasher sometimes itll either flash too slow or fast still. With the adjustable you can pick the speed YOU LIKE.

Drop your glovebox down so you can see all the relays and wiring. Then you will see a SQUARE relay just remove and follow install instructions for the aftermarket flasher

Drop it down? You mean open it? Where are the wires?

Re: L.E.D.'s Flashing too FAST or SLOOOOW?

it is behind the glove box door on 98+ on older models its under the dash

94 was a funny year for s10s..i have seen them on the firewall and i have seen them under the radio..
95-97 its under the radio in the lower dash panel..
82-93 its under the dash on the firewall in the fuse box

also its not that the flasher cant handle the load...leds draw way less current and the electronic flasher in a 98+ reads the resistance and thinks a bulb is out..hence the fast flash..
in the other years its a thermal flasher that when the flasher has a load it heats up a small film of metal and when it gets to hot it bends away..then cools and returns...over and over...

Re: L.E.D.'s Flashing too FAST or SLOOOOW?

I have a 98+ . . . but i still don't get where it is. Behind the door? I open my door and I don't see anything but the glove box. Do I have to remove the whole glove box? If so, how do I do this?

there is a little clip on the upper left that you push up and the door falls to the floor...then on the right hand side you will see a large connector with a ass load of wires...in that plug there is a small black box with a green strap...thats your flasher/relay on a 98+

Re: L.E.D.'s Flashing too FAST or SLOOOOW?

Found it! Ok last question, how do I get the green strap off? I mean I'm sure if I pulled hard enough, it would have came right off. But how do I remove it without breaking it?

Re: L.E.D.'s Flashing too FAST or SLOOOOW?

i just push it up and over the flasher...and you are going to want to reuse that cause vibrations will make it wiggle itself loose then you will lose brake lights and blinkers...learned that the hard way

You should really edit the original post then. It's very misleading.
