help

i got a 5.3 votec/4l60e out of a 01 1500 2wd
going into a 85 c10
someone cut the harness where it goes throw the firewall

what should i do?
the harness had red and blue plugs on the end

should i try to fix it and would you try to fix it

is this all i need to run this engine
by this i mean wheels sensors, fuel pump and all that

The 5.3 harness does not go through the firewall anywhere. So I am not sure what exactly got cut off. The connections on those harnesses are all out under the hood.
Chances are, if they just cut off the connectors that go to the fuse block and body harness connections, then yes, the harness is still useful, we cut those off anyway and then replace them with our standard fuse/relay block.

That should be all you would need aside from reprogramming the computer.

whats cut off is the blue and red plug that go to the computer
they cut throw the thickest part of the harness
so how hard is it gonna be to rewire 160 wires
if i sent you this harness how much to get everything fixed up

You'd spend as much to repair that one, as to have a new one made. By the time we sit and track down all the wires, then install the new connectors, and make the modifications needed for it to run stand-alone, it's as much time as just making a new one.
Figure $650-$750 for a new stand-alone harness.
