DBW Pedal/TB

I know that some guys on PT.net have switched their DBW Truck TBs for the Car style DBW TBs without any problems. With that said does it matter which DBW Pedal Assembly is used for a swap? Is there a particular style pedal ( GTO , Vette , Trailblazer/Truck ) that works best in our S10/Blazers? Thanks.

re: DBW Pedal/TB

The pedal matters more based on what program is in the computer.
On the LS2 computers, you will need to match the pedal to the program. So if you are running a GTO program, it will only work with the GTO pedal. Same with Vette, Trailblazer, etc.

There are a few that interchange, but it is a good rule of thumb to just match them.

I see , so is there any advantage with a Vette program over a GTO? If I use a 07 truck DBW TB and got a Vette program w/ vette pedal would the throttle respond differently than it should? From looking at the pedals it looks like a Vette/GTO pedal assembly would fit best.

There can be advantages of one over the other. Who is doing the wiring and programming?
It is best to pick a program that will work properly with your truck/engine/transmission combination.

I would think as long as you have a vette pedal and vette program, the throttle should work fine. As for everything else on the truck working properly, that depends on a number of things.

Re: DBW Pedal/TB

Alright so when the time comes I guess we could discuss the path I want to go with my build ; and you could help decide which program would suite me best. You would be the one that will be making the harness and I guess Mr. Wright ( He does your mail order tuning correct? ) would be doing the intiail tune until I could get it to a dyno. And if I have read correctly you can supply the pedal assembly so I would be getting that from you also probably.
