Pulling trailers

Hey guys just a heads up to you guys that trailer your trucks to and from shows/shops etc... North Carolina is cracking down on overweight trucks meaning if you are pulling a trailer and going to be over 5000 lbs you need weighted tags. They are not just after semi trucks anymore went by a mobile weigh station this morning they were making regular trucks that were pulling trailers get on the scales. a guy that i work with, his brother is a deputy and was issued a overweight ticket in the neighboroing county, his ext cab Z71 pulling a 16' trailer with lawn equipment on it. the fines are not cheap. my 12000lb tags cost me 123$ a month. just thought i would give yall a heads up.

Re: Pulling trailers

This would only apply to people who live and reside in NC right?

In sc we are not required to have tags on our trailers.

Re: Pulling trailers

The only time they ran 4 lanes was for pinks. They are not running 4 lanes for any event but that. It was for tv. At a normal event the other 2 lanes are for when something happens to shut down 2 for cleanup. They only have one tree and hard to see across 2 lanes for it.
