5th Annual Carolina's March Meet Planning/Discussion Thread

well i figure we are right at the 6 month mark, on the countdown for the 5th year of this meet. I wanna make it the biggest one yet. I had thought of making something along the lines of awards..

- Most Distance Traveled.
- People's Choice (Coolest Ride)

and a few other things like that, shirts (eh?), 5th Annual Meet stickers, would be cool to have door prizes, maybe a 50/50, to have to donate to a local cause, within the Carolina's...just something to make it a little more fun, instead of "Hey, lets stand around, and bullshit, until time to go eat Andy's..." nice enough weather for a drag session towards the end of the night would always be good. I'm just trying to think of some things that could be done...willing to hear any ideas anyone would wanna toss out...I'm gonna play the date by ear, according to whichever weekend Run to the Sun falls on. Had to bump it up a weekend, when RttS was dropped back a weekend later this year...but mid March, will be the projected time, as usual.

of course, in order to get all these things mentioned, put into play, it would be great, if we could pull in some sponsors for the event, anything, like a small gas card, something like a car detail kit from autozone, or advance, anything like that, so if anyone has any ties, and could pull some strings, and possibly pull in some items for door prizes, that would be great..anything automotive related, or even if someone had a restaurant that would be willing to participate, and donate a gift card for dinner. just basically anything, i'm sure you catch my drift.

we would definately have to create a banner, and post online, a listing of these sponsors...just kicking around ideas for now, trying to get things worked together. feel free to toss out any thoughts.

Since I will be unemployed again next month I will finish the dash so I can drive it out that way. Reading the thread over on CTS, we need to think about some kind of heat just in case. Maybe a propane blower?
